The news across all of the sports networks on Monday was all about Miguel Cabrera. How obvious is it that Detroit is not at the center of attention in a positive light - rather - the subject of snickers and egotistical snobbery by east and west coast "sports jocks."
They should ALL be ashamed.
The REAL story is about a legend (and a spirit) of Detroit, Willie Horton, who was at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland on Monday to throw out the first pitch. That was a game where Miguel Cabrera went zero for all. BUT - the Tigers went on to beat the Yankees 6-2 and keep their Grapefruit League PERFECT record intact!!
