Though sports writers who favor opposing teams are going to try and discredit this achievment as best they can - they can be the Walrus - we'll just be happy enough being the Octopus.
Rules have indeed changed since the 1929 Boston Bruins. A whole lot of rules. But not every rule change has made it easier to match or break an amazing win-streak on home ice or it would be happening more often than three times a century.
We here in SE Michigan are going to celebrate and respect this accomplishment no matter what you Penguins, Flyers and Rangers say.
