| A Celebration of a Championship? Trey Burke Freshman of the Year? |
If you had the misfortune of watching Channel 6 in Lansing yesterday you saw an example of the "sandbox mentality" which the Spartans have honed into a degree discipline. I'm referring to the news graphic which showed MSU and Ohio State "tied" for 1st and Michigan 2nd. What a pitifully childish production that was.
You would have thought their last dog died. It was as if the world was puking on Sparty all over again, just like Dantonio championed last Fall and as Kirk "The Jerk" Cousins so eloquently whined about.
Tom "Dizzo" was wearing his $2500 suit as always - no matter that John Beilein always wears just a simple polo sport shirt - and you had to believe this was an acting tryout for Macbeth or something. I guess the guilt starts to show when your underwear glows through Italian silk threads. Of course the MSU Coach had to "play" the part. That's what he has been doing the last three years. (hint: $$$)
On the other hand, there is good reason to celebrate in Ann Arbor. Trey Burke had an epiphany and left his ghost.... I mean home town of Columbus to arrive at Crisler and turn the world around Michigan's way once again. It was as if the compass had reversed poles completely! Our "Star" guard reported to the press that "everybody" jumped into the hallway after Buford's high-arc shot swished the net and the Buckeyes pulled out an amazing rally to win.
So....Thanks, Brutus. Thanks, Trey. Drink your milk, Tom Dizzo.........
GO BLUE!!
