Detroit Slugs Red Sox 7-3
| Tom Brookens gets tossed at the start of the 2nd on a disputed call. He was not the only one surprised. There were many bad calls this trip. |
This trip showed us one thing. The rest of the American League is tired of Detroit getting all of the hype.
It showed everywhere. Lots of bad calls and a couple outrageous ejections and a crazy-lazy batting squad and so on. It was not fun.
The Tigers are the "Bad Boys" of baseball it seems. Maybe this is an omen. It better start staying this way or those darned White Sox are going to run away with it by the All-Star Break.
The Tigers end this trip 4-6. Not pretty. We learned a lot, though. And tonight we're home at Comerica to face the Bronx Bombers.
Here at CUBS' AC we'll surely have the game on the big screens - and trying to sit near the kitchen getting a whiff of those great Pepperoni Twists (a CUBS' Favorite) - and handling a thirst for more wins.
Be here.
Be here.
"More beer. Less bad calls."
GO TIGERS!
