Tigers Crawl Back - Win 3-2

Ramon Santiago was the Tiger of the game in Cincy, and
Detroit goes on to defeat the Reds.  No decision for J.V.

This game was, unfortunately, a groaner most of the way.  And when Justin Verlander attempted to beat out a bunt for his first major league hit, the Reds starter Bronson Arroyo punched a clean single into left field 4 minutes later off of him just for spite.  

You know what?  Despite the fact that Justin Verlander struck out 9 batters and kept Cincinnati to 2 runs, this one was still on the fence until Prince Fielder hit the GWRBI in the top of the 8th.

But it was fun to watch.  Because Detroit prevails.  Too bad it was no decision for J.V. as Brian Villarreal got the win.

The rubber game is in Cincinnati Sunday night on ESPN's Game of the Week, and the Tigers have a chance to 'break' the curse and win 2-in-a-row and take the series.

We'll be at CUBS' A.C. as usual, catching all of the action on the big screens and staying close to the kitchen getting some of that special grub you can't get anywhere else in Ann Arbor - 

namely the CUBS' Calzone.
