Michigan gets to the basket again.  Smart, aggressive play
is keeping the team in the national spotlight this year.

The AP #3 Michigan Wolverines continue to solidify their high poll rankings, and demonstrated a depth and a determination before a national TV audience yesterday at Crisler Arena in defeating the feisty Arkansas Razorbacks 80-67.

Arkansas is a perennial front-runner, but the Wolverines avenged last
year's loss by soundly controlling the game.

 There is reason to be excited this year.  The Wolverines have now matched their best season start since 1989 at 9-0 -- the one time Michigan Mens Basketball won the National Championship.  We've got a lot of depth at a lot of positions.

John Beilein has crafted a great squad in these Wolverines.   According to the Detroit News, Beilein said Friday that U-M lost last season partly because of the Razorbacks' pressure and quickness.  It was not evident this year, though the Arkansas squad surely did not disappoint with their effort.  The Michigan coach downplays all of the positive hype going on, but there is good reason in 'Ol Ann Arbor Town to be optimistic!
