Stumbling in the Motor City

Verlander and Tigers Tripped
Prince Fielder was hitless in 3 at bats.
Red Wings Come Out Flat
Out muscle the hustle?  Not this time.
We won't even bother talking about the NBA team in town.
(whoops - we just did)

Time to get real again.  We need a tuneup.

The Detroit Tigers were looking pretty confident, to be honest.  The whole game appeared to be in the back pocket.  Then with a low pitch-count the common wisdom was to let Justin Verlander go for the complete game.  Mistake.  The Tigers lose 4-2.  The Tampa Bay Rays got to take a little pride by beating the Tiger Ace - even though they were out-hit, they won.

And the Red Wings - despite the hype and hoopla - get backed into a playoff hole as the Nashville Predators were not duped and beat the Wings - in Red Wings fashion - 3-2.

Not a good day for the Motor City.

But....there is the rubber game to consider and the first pitch is thrown out about 1:00pm this afternoon.  If you are looking for a place with great eats and a slate of specials we've got 'em for you at CUBS' AC.  Join us as we take the game in on the big screens.

 GO TIGERS!    GO WINGS!
