The Tigers are the most fun to watch.  It helps that there is such a dedicated fan-base, of course.  Sure - it is comfortable to snuggle up to the bar at CUBS' AC - but when you compare the crowds at Comerica Park to somewhere like - Camden Yards - you then see how special it really is here in Michigan.    

This home stand for Detroit completed another 'sweep' weekend.  Sunday was the icing on the cake, however.  Tied 3 separate times - it seemed like it was destined to be a long and painful death for Detroit.  The Tigers were never in front in this contest and you felt like Cleveland was going to finally break their losing streak right up until Cabrera hit his walkoff 2-run homer in the 10th.

Max Scherzer was not pitching that bad.  It just seemed like the Cleveland Indians wanted the win more.  They actually do, in fact.  The Indians have lost 9 of the last 10 and all of them in-a-row.

Jhonny Peralta has had a great series against Cleveland, with several
extra-base hits and timely RBI's to show for it.

There are two players who seem to have particularly 'peaked' at the right time - Jhonny Peralta and Omar Infante.  (two of our favorite Latinos)  Who remembers that Infante was originally drafted as a Tiger back in 2002?  He was actually traded to Philadelphia for Placido Polanco in 2007.  But this whole weekend the most noise came from the Hispanic-Latino community overall - from the PA announcements and from the bands and the dancers and the kids celebrating, too.

Detroit remains 1½ games behind the White Sox after winning 4 in-a-row.  Could this be a replay of last year when the Tigers streaked to run completely away with the division?
