Cowboys Stadium was a remarkable venue Friday night and the Michigan Wolverines provided more "Amaizin' Magic" on the court, even though the crowd had a decidedly tilted Kansas Jayhawks bias.  There was something other than a nearly full moon going on here in Arlington, Texas.  There was Wolverine Spirit.

An incredibly huge venue requires increibly huge monitors.

  Down by 14 points to Kansas with less than 7 minutes to play, then down 10 at less than 3 and still down by 5 points with only the final 21 seconds in regulation we were once more witness to the incredible talent of Freshman Mitch McGary, the legendary handiwork of Trey Burke and of this entire Michigan Men's basketball team.  Trey Burke ties the game with 4.2 seconds to play behind another gorgeous pick set by McGary and sends this into overtime - the first instance in this entire tournament.

Emerging:  Mitch McGary

With Trey Burke having already collected Player of the Year status and submitting fitting proof of such, it was the emergence of Mitch McGary during this tournament that sparked this dynamic tempo and has brought Michigan back to the Elite 8 for the first time since 1994.  The "Cinderella" title is available for the taking after Florida Gulf Coast was bumped by Michigan's next opponent, the Florida Gators, for Sunday's Regional Championship game.

Trey Burke does not take all of the credit and rightly spreads the wealth around to the whole team.  It was clear the Wolverines had the right plan as the Kansas Jayhawks could not keep up in the overtime period and as their last shot clinged off of the rim it sent the Michigan Faithful into euphoria.  Michigan State fell to Duke, so the possibility of meeting the Spartans in the Final Four is no more.  But there is another hurdle for Michigan on Sunday as they face the Florida Gators for the South Regional Championship.
