Atlanta - Here We Come!!

The Michigan Wolverines
Are Headed To The Final Four
~ Atlanta Here We Come! ~
Coach John Beilein seems unfazed.  It was as if this all was destiny.
Cowboys Stadium was remarkable again on Sunday and the Michigan Wolverines provided even more "Amaizin' Magic" on the court in the form of some laser accurate 3-point shooting, timely steals and a double digit lead nearly the entire game.
Michigan, Syracuse, Wichita State and Louisville are headed to the Final Four.
We saw Freshman Nik Stauskas break through his own glass ceiling by hitting 6 of 6 from 3-point range and literally swamping the Florida Gators.  Spike Albrecht saw some action and had 2 highlight reel steals and a 3-pointer of his own.  Tim Hardaway, Jr. had a slam dunk - Mitch McGary (9 rebounds) was solid inside again.  Glenn Robinson III took an alley oop and slammed it home.
Everybody got into the game.  GRIII slams one home!
Michigan stole the ball 13 times and converted all but two of them. This game was never in question, even after Florida went on an 11-2 run before the half.  The Wolverines had opened the game up with a 13-0 score and never looked back.
More incredible statistics can be found here.

The NCAA South Regional Championship Trophy
is headed back to Ann Arbor.
While Trey Burke suffered some upper back spasms and his teammates picked up the slack, he still scored 15 points and was his usual dominant presence in floor control.   Michigan stunned the more experienced Florida Gators led by Billy Donovan (the 2006 and 2007 champs) and extended their lack of access to the Finals to 3 years of being ousted from the NCAA Elite 8.
Mitch McGary and Trey Burke celebrate the win.
The din of the crowd soared every time Michigan stole the ball - once on an inbound pass from our own end which went straight up and in for another basket - and it seemed these freshmen backups did not know they were not supposed to be able to do that.
Toward the end of the game the starters cheered on the backups who
continued to keep the Gators in check
There is another step for Michigan Saturday night as they face the Orangemen of Syracuse in the National Semifinals.
