Tigers KO Kansas City in Opener

Raburn Powers Past Royals

Ryan Raburn hits a 2-run home run in the 2nd inning which proved to be
the game winner, spoiling an otherwise good outing for the young star
Royals pitcher, Danny Duffy.
Detroit faced a very durable and surprisingly effective young pitcher in Kansas City's Danny Duffy - in fact the Tigers were out-hit 8-6 - but they still came away the victors in the opener of this series Thursday night.

Ryan Raburn is getting to be more and more like the Tooth Fairy when he manages to appear from nowhere and leave the game as the hero and we can just shake our heads.  Max Scherzer and Detroit came away 3-1 winners despite a very well played game by the Royals.

The usual suspects closed the final innings - Benoit and the every move entertaining Valverde added more drama - and the Tigers stayed within striking distance of Cleveland who also won.

Join us at CUBS' AC Friday evening as we watch the 2nd game of this away series on the big screens while sampling more of those Big Eleven Burgers and enjoying $1.00 OFF with our discount cards.

GO TIGERS!!
